PSX Viking armor chad
A downloadable asset pack
A playstation 1 inspired low poly viking dude. I may or may not use him for something in the future, but I wanted him to be available to others for use in their projects as well!
The textures come in multiple sizes, but please understand the higher res textures doesn't make it "not ps1" style. The texture swatches used were all 128 or 256, and appear exactly as they did when I was projection texturing the model with the individual textures, I've simply baked them to a larger texture which enables all of the textures to come in one single image. It does not enhance the appearance in any way to be in a large texture size, other than allowing them to not crunch down in visual quality when baking. If I had included the model with all of the raw textures individually it would look exactly the same.
It's rigged following a tutorial by Dani Arkadia. This is the video, give him a like! He deserves it.
I have simply included the blend so you can make any animations and export it in whatever format you'd like.
License is as follows:
Use it for whatever including commercial work so long as the following conditions are observed:
1: May not be used for anything related to NFTs.
2: May not be repackaged and sold. If used as part of a larger product/project such as an animation, game or youtube video for instance, this is fine. But you may not for example, simply make superficial changes and then try to sell this as your own work.
3: Credit is appreciated but not mandatory if you use it. I would love to learn what you use it for, however. c:

hello, i have a problem that this model doesnt really work properly with mixamo animations and godot engine, I removed everything except the actual model and skeleton and uploaded it to maximo, after that i used character animation combiner to combine model with mixamo animations and after that i downloaded it in glb and added it to my godot project and skeleton is ok but the mesh is completely broken. is there any way I can fix it?
Well, this mesh uses segmented weight painting, so what I'd so is edit the weight painting of the rigged character in blender, possibly using one of the free mixamo rig tools blender has for directly parenting a mesh to the mixamo rig and weight painting it, so you can just automatically use any mixamo animations with it.
I believe there are also data transfer tools that you could use to just transfer the animations to it directly after making the rig match the proportions of the character.
Basically you'll just want to select each part of the mesh and use the weight assignment menu and set each part of the mesh to the limb/head/chest bone of the rig as appropriate with 100% weight parenting.
The only exception here should be the fingers if I recall correctly, those you'll want more of a 50/50 weight blend around the joints.
Mixamo automatic weight painting does not tend to work very with well some lowpoly models, and esp not ps1 style one usually.
Sorry about the long reply time! c:
